Back on Track

Ok so theres been this wave of blogs coming into my life and I figured. Maybe I should use this one. It took me a few minutes to get into it because I couldn't remember my log in. Anywho. Like I stated in the very first blog...uneventful life...boring...'ll want to slit wrists etc. Moving on:

So I've been crafty lately. What does that mean you ask? Let's just say in the light of holiday seasons. I carved pumpkins and made my own Halloween Cards. Thats right, hand made. I sent out several at once (except for sterlings which I finished first, put on the side to put with others and completely forgot, but it made it on halloween anyway!) A few to the U.S. and the rest outlying countries ;) So Susie, in Hawaii, got hers 4 days after I sent it (which lets say is around the 15th) and Evan, in Nova Scotia got his exactly on Halloween day. I sent one to denmark and another to Germany. It's Nov. 6 and I haven't received word that they got it, or any return mail. It better get there before Christmas. And with the results of the time its taking I'm wondering if I should make the Christmas cards for there right NOW.

So my sister and I have decided to not buy red meat. The thing is I'm the main cook in the house. Main cook meaning my sister knows how to make soup and cereal. I'm running out of damn chicken recipe's and both her and I are not big on seafood, except for the occassional shrimp. So if anyone has any recipes they'd like to pass on PLEASE do.

I take care of my niece from monday to Friday while my sister works, and every other sunday for her other job. We get bored a lot, and I can't drive standard to SAVE MY LIFE so we're home all the time. And she's the subject of about 90% of my photos. (You would know Tadashi you're making a shirt out of one of them!).

With the incredibly bad lighting in my house all her pictures are taken by the door. I have no flash. Besides the built in one, which I gotta tell you, blinds anyone in a 5 foot radius.

I always have to put the camera on shutter speed because I have no idea when her patience is going to wear thin. She's very tricky, and very slick. Sometimes I think she knows this and is messing with me.

I'm absolutely stoked about Christmas. I love to decorate. I can't wait.

why didn't you tell me about your blog before?! kurukuru-pa ;)

speaking of cameras (meaning your speaking of cameras), i got a new one finally, after the old one broke like 2-3 months ago. it's small and 5mp, it's good but i'm a little overwhelmed by the little feautures and what the buttons mean :( will need your expertise during christmas.

also, where's my homemade halloween card?!?!

also, do you know how to put links up on this blogger thing? would like to put links up to other bloggers i know (so basically you, jackie, john) but not so comprehend-y with the internet blog-gy.

love,
jen.
